Method of Operation
- Pouches are dropped into the autoload buckets via a rotary bomb-bay infeed.
- Simultaneously carton blanks are picked from the extended horizontal magazine by the vacuum of a continuous motion 2-head rotary carton feeder. The carton is then placed in the carton conveyor flights and the flaps held open with guide rails.
- The pouches are automatically inserted into the carton horizontally. The minor end flaps are closed after loading and hot melt adhesive applied from a Nordson hot melt system. The major flaps are ploughed down and sealed and the carton is discharged from the machine via powered belts.
- If additional promotional items need to be inserted into the carton, the operator on Machine #2 is able to do so at the manual loading station. The machine’s variable speed function allows the speed to be adjusted for this process.
